Lime for Construction & Infrastructure

Soil stabilisation, stabilised sub-bases, mortars and plasters.

The application

What lime does in construction & infrastructure

Lime stabilisation turns marginal soil into a workable, load-bearing sub-grade — which is why it sits under so much of India's road programme. Hydrated lime also goes into mortars and plasters, where it brings workability and long-term durability that cement alone does not.

Where it is used

  • 01Soil stabilisation for roads, embankments and sub-grades
  • 02Stabilised sub-base and capping layers
  • 03Lime mortars, renders and plasters
  • 04Construction chemicals and dry mix formulations
